What do you cover in a 4 hour shape lesson?

We jump right into things, going over your outline and I’ll share how you can start collecting and making your own templates. You’ll use the planer and all the hand tools, regardless of your experience or background. I will make sure you have a hand in every step of the process and I guarantee a great outcome!

Can I bring friends or family members to watch?

Absolutely! 

What can I expect when we’re finished?

A completed hand shaped board, ready for your signature and the glass shop. I will also take pictures of you shaping your board during the lesson and email them to you. 

What preparation is necessary before my lesson?

Just need to spend a few minutes on the phone with you and talk about the board you want to shape so I can get the right blank for you and offer any suggestions. I’ll also answer any questions you have at that time. 

What about the blank and glassing? Is that included in the price?

The blank and glassing are not included in the shape lesson price but most of the time your final cost is less than a new board from a board shop, plus you shaped it! I’m happy to answer any questions you have about these costs

Can we shape an epoxy?

Yes!

What about custom logos?

If you have a logo or picture you want to laminate into your board I can have it printed for you. I just need your digital art to get started
